Hello

I’m Kylie, the passionate maker and creative behind Reversabub, living in funky Fitzroy, Melbourne, across the road from a pub, where my husband and I love to enjoy a wee dance and drink! My sewing studio is set up in our apartment where you can find me cutting, ironing, pinning and sewing up all your outfits.

I’m passionate about making outfits that are easy to dress or change a wriggly baby or toddler (snaps instead of buttons); are trans-seasonal, designed to be layered when extra warmth is needed or worn on their own in the warmer months; and can grow with your little ones – adjustable straps; roll up cuffs; larger armhole openings for growth!

I believe in creating clothes that will be loved and passed down through siblings, family and friends. It became very obvious to me that the Reversible Pinafore dresses and overalls I make are a firm favourite for parties and everyday play! Two outfits in one they are great value and such fun! Comfort, style and versatility!

Oh, and everyone loves easy wash and wear, right! Just pop the outfits in your washing machine on a cold cycle and hang out to dry, then all you have to do is pick which side you want to show off next time!

Amazing prints are a key focus for Reversabub

Reversabub believes in having amazing fabric prints that you won’t see anywhere else. I collaborate with independent illustrators to create Exclusive fabric prints within my collections. How amazing that you will have not one, but two fabulous prints for each and every outfit!

When you place an online order with Reversabub, I package sustainably, using compostable mailers and re-usable gift wrapping. I also aim for zero waste in my studio, so earlier this year I added Reversible bandana bibs into my collection to help use up smaller pieces of fabrics – no offcuts go to waste here.

If you’re ever in Melbourne, I would love for you to come and say hello on a Saturday at The Rose Street Artists Market in Fitzroy from 10am to 4pm. It’s wonderful meeting so many customers new and old and I love seeing your snapshots on your phone of outfits being worn!

Every day of the week you can find my outfits in store at in.cube8r Gallery at 321 Smith Street, Fitzroy. If you time it right you may even find me working in the Fitzroy shop on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays!

How Reversabub came to be!

I started dabbling in sewing children’s clothing and accessories in 2013, initially seeking a creative hobby when I moved from Perth to Melbourne with my family. I went along to little craft fairs and school fetes with my hodge-podge mix of bits and pieces that I had sewn up!

The next step was the launch of “St David Studio 3065” in 2017 and securing a regular weekly stall at a local Artist market as well as having my range of clothing in a shop on Smith Street. These two settings have been paramount to my growth and belief in my clothing range, becoming confident in the style and prints that you can now find today and so “Reversabub” was born in July 2021!
